Welcome!

Hello and welcome to a new year of SWALIF, your Qatar Foundation Housing & Residence life blog!
Throughout the year, we will regularly be posting interesting articles written by students, important housing information, and ways for you to get involved.

This year, we have a staff of 42, which is our largest ever! This number is comprised of CDAs, Desk Clerks, RHDs, Coordinators, Housing Assignments Officer, Housing Facilities Officer, Assistant Director, Director, and a fantastic Admin Assistant.
Among our staff are several new faces- Click on Our Staff tab at the top of the blog to find out more about them!

It has been a busy start to the year so far. We started off with New Student Orientation in August, and have kicked off programming in the halls as well as weekly Friday Night Light activities.
The Sustainable Learning Communities for both female and male residents have begun, beginning the year with a retreat where residents planted a garden behind the villas and programming is underway despite delays in getting the male villas opened.

If you have been to our website recently you will notice some changes to our pages. The new website is www.myeducationcity.com and you will find lots of useful information on there, including essential forms, procedures, and policies. Also, be sure to Like us on Facebook: Qatar Foundation Housing & Residence Life.

We encourage you to get involved this year! There are many student organizations across campus to choose from. Why not get involved in the residence halls with Residence Hall Council?

Look out for continuous updates on this blog, including upcoming initiatives such as fire safety month, multicultural month, new residence halls updates and much more!!
