Fire Safety Month

September is Fire Safety Month and Housing and Residence Life is participating in this world-wide campaign for fire safety and awareness. Part of this effort is to educate students in residence halls about the real-life causes and dangers of fires in campus apartments and residence halls. We hope that these fire safety tips and resources are useful to you not only while living here on campus, but also when you eventually move out on your own.

Each week you will be receiving emails from Housing and Residence Life with interesting and sometimes shocking facts about fires in and around college campuses world-wide. Additionally we will be sending out videos that depict real-life examples and results of student housing fires. The videos will cover such topics as kitchen fires, smoke damage, and burns as a result of fires. We hope that these emails and the information contained within will prompt you to consider ways to reduce the risk of fire in your living space and apartments.

Be sure to look out for these informative emails. Feel free to contact Caleb Keith (RHD MB1 and SB1) at ckeith@qf.org.qa if you have any information you think would be helpful to share with your residential peers.
