Residence Hall Council - Ambassadors

Residience Hall Council seeks Residence Hall Ambassadors!

This position is perhaps one of the most important roles within our organization. It is also a new role this year! RHAs will play a vital part in our organization’s growth and significance this year. Residence Hall Council (RHC) has a primary function of serving as an advocacy board for all residential students. Advocacy simply explained is the process of arguing on someone’s behalf. As an RHA, you will be the main representative of your entire building. This means that your responsibilities are as follows:
  • Be available during the evening at least one day a week to take complaints or suggestions on how to better the community you live in (your hall).
  • Be aware of what is working/broken in your hall. Take notice of reoccurring issues with washing machines, social room cleanliness etc…
  • Be present at all RHC meetings (every Monday from 7pm-8pm).
  • Be active at the RHC meetings; bring up complaints or suggestions that your residents express. Also, get involved with program committees for RHC’s two big programs: November Nightmare and Sports on the Spine.
  • Be a role model. Just as we expect our CDAs to be role models in the community, if you are selected you are the ambassador for your hall, so it is equally important for you to be a positive leader!
