2011 Housing Lottery
It is that time of year for Housing Lottery! This process occurs annually to give you a choice of where you live and who you want to live with for the next (2011-12) academic year. For those of you who have lived in the halls for more than one year, this process may have some similar elements but also some new changes that we hope make this process easier for you. Due to this process containing many changes from years before, we ask that you take time to read this carefully. There will also be more information sent to you through email and also in the next SWALIF.2011 Housing Lottery Important Information:
- There will again be no squatting privileges this year. The buildings for next year (2011-2012 academic year) will not be reassigned with regards to the gender.
- FB1 and FB2 will not be available during the housing lottery as these will be used for incoming freshman for fall 2011. Villas will also not be included in the lottery. These assignments will be made beforehand.
- SB1 and SB2 will now accommodate three students per apartment.
Housing Lottery Timelines:
Housing Applications Jan. 9 – Feb. 24, 2011
Female Housing Lottery Mar. 7-Mar. 10, 2011
Male Housing Lottery Mar. 13-Mar. 16, 2011
The room and roommate selection will be completed manually by coming to FB3 Building. Only the application part will be done online. Please note that if you live within 20KM of Education City, you will not be eligible to take part in the 2011 housing lottery.
